-Build 9 drones, make an overlord.
-Make a pool, a creep colony, and and an extractor.
-Build more drones, mine gas, build a hydralisk den, make another hatchery, and make your starting hatchery a lair.
-Continue building more hatcheries and morphing Hydras.
-Upgrade hydra speed, attack range, and all 3 overlord upgrades. Also upgrade missile attacks and ground carapace.
-Continue building mass hyrdas. Don't forget to have spore colonies scattered around your base.
-Build 12-24 mutalisks.
-Build hydras until you can fill up 12 overlords (48 hydras), but keep some in your base.
-Look for a weak spot in the side of your opponents base. Go in with the mutalisks, and have your overlords drop every freakin' hydra into their base.
hmm instead of dropping, you can manage ur gas well and build more hatcheries and hydras.
1. place ur hydras on either side of ur opponent's bases (about 4 groups are fine)
2. wait for him to come out with his units, u can scout this with an ovy in the centre.
3. mutas attack his entrance or choke. and just confuse the fuk outta opponent
4. his units should come back
5. flank his units, units from main go to his base.
6. gg no re.

I have a feeling you'd be attacked before you had a chance to do any of this if you made this your strategy vs someone who had the slightest idea of what to do. It'd probably work better if you did it during the game, starting out normally.

you should get aleast 8 ovies to drop would be quiker.
ill post a replay of what i did, and it kinda worked out right, except the opponent got lazy to unsiege his tanks infront of my base

any decent p player or t player would scout often enough to realise that they can outmass you if you go that strat. easily. so unless you play a turtle that just sits there and mass buildling with front D (in otherwords, not a decent player) then hf.. otherwise how stupid.

You also need overlord speed, and spare ovies. They only can hold 4 hydra's. I do agree though, that Overlord drops are the best, and most effective. They take no psi, so they have no limits. ``
i dont think it's an "early" game strategy............i think that if you play awhile, and neither player gains the advantage, ovie dropping with a lot of units (a lot) then it can win the game for you because you can take their main, distract them, and attack at the same time. its like in a zvz when you nydus their base, you send in enough units so they have to send back their own to stop it, and then you attack from the front so they're split up! :D

I agree, overlord drops are mid game strategy. Getting them fast may catch your opponent off guard though. ``
