What do you do when its zvt and your middle left/right, and they're right above you. I mean you cant get D above ur main because they have tanks and turrets there owning all of your buildings (well the turrets cant own ur buildings -.-) and that leaves you open for drops and stuff. In this rep he irradiated me like 8 times because i couldnt get any D set up above my main... any advice?
PS. I wasnt trying to hard dont think im a noob who doesnt know what a defiler is. :)
set up scourge to partrol near ur main..best u can do...make more then one base thathelps vs a turtle

keep units back their very close to miners away from tanks to stop drops and use kai's idea with scrouge

but he just brings in a few vessels that can own my miners from a distance....
so he pretty much took ur main..expo and mine from there

I have a replay somewhere but I can't for the life of me find where it is, it's a ZvT with the same positions but on the other side (mid right and top right). The terran kept siege tanks shooting over the river very early in the game and after choking he went straight for science vessels...
Basically what I did was put spore colonies all along the edges of my minerals and gas (just outside of the tank range) and kept scourge hovering out in front of them. He would once in a while get an irradiate off but lose lots of science vessels in the process, and its simple enough to move your drones away from an irradiated one if you're careful and don't panic. I pretty much just teched to guardians to kill the siege tanks, then used the positions of bases to *my* advantage by harrassing his units over the river with guardians while trying to move irradiated guards over his own units :p Eventually he tried nuking over the river (and got it off the first time -.-) but nothing a couple of overlords and guardians couldn't handle after that. Soon after I did my first (and only) zerg drop ever because it had worked vs me in a TvZ, and I was happy to find it obliterated his base since he had all his units pent up at his choke and didn't have time to move them all back to stop the 24 overlords carrying hydras, zerglings, and a cute defiler to swarm his cc =D You take my money and i'll take yours, asshole!
if ur facing vs a good terran, just type gg and gtfo

Fastest map isn't balanced at all, this is one example why there can't be a best player, too much luck is involved to win with position and race, it's not the only factor but is one of them.

Tru. If you played LT, you'd know that the best way to kill tank lines, is to not let them setup in the first place. if hes above you, try heavy offence.
make tons of scourges, and keep hydras up there but just out of range of the tanks. and get def's early :)

yeah.
his first tank probably sieged you so just let it sit. beware of large drops. you can place a few spore colonies out of tank range and hydras for ground support. tech to guardians to remove those tanks and hoover over the spores for defense. get some scourges for additional anti air def
research burrow so that irradiate doesn't hurt too much and hotkey all your drones
get a queen and parasite for free allied vision ^__^

If all that sounds too complicated, keep a group of lings hotkeyed by your main and send them up when u see drops coming, and mass spores to stop vessels or at least force them to wait for more vessels. Another idea is since they are going to be quickly hurassing you in such a way, get a few sunks at your choke and MASS hatches/drones early to prepare for the onslaughts at your main.

Cheese is back... lol.
If this happens I kill them fast with huge hydraling numbers. If the're harassing type, usually they dont have rock hard defences, or an offensive group of units. swarm Ultraling = gg.
Edit: Learn to play LT, and it becomes alot easier.
Terran players force zerg to micro, and watch minimap. This puts most zergs on their asses in a hurry.

Yes,FPM isnt make believe :)
i think fpm at the top 10 scd'ers level are just as skilled as PGT nonmoney gaming. the harass, build order, scouting, strats, counters, micro, macro, mucro, and the "mind fight" (we think about wut the opponent is gonna do, and why he did such moves, etc.). everything is just enlarged into a bigger picture in fastest. and i think it's very well balanced

ZvT: Probably my favorite matchup
Ok ZvT initially is all about survival... My beginning starts as a 2 hatch pool(No scout) but if there is a scout then (1 hatch pool).
I then get 2 sunks in back (1 by geysers) and one slightly diagonal in the back of the mineral field... This causes flanking of rine rushes in back which can be intercepted by lings.
If my opponent appears to be going for a tank push 9/10 times T does this... I branch out my sunkens... This allows me to have time to build up hatches and an army. To stall this even longer send groups of lings 2-4 at a time to their army... They get confused sometimes and think you are an idiot (halirious tactic... has worked). Mix your first army with hydras/lings preferably with both speeds... No need for range on first attack with hydras although it is a bonus.
The attack waves go as follows:
The T has just broken your sunks(Always happens... They have no real purpose after survival).
You must keep half of your men in the bottom left of your base and the right of your other base. At the same time when the Terran begins to push into your base you should surround the units and it is almost impossible to lose unless you are slow and retarded with zerg.
After you survive this you should build those sunks again spreading out your base again which allows for more stalling time. Depending on their army I would then decide three choices:
1.) Choose to muta bomb infest their command center (They are pushing hardcore, there will be no men at base to defend)
2.) Go for a defiler and micro the shit out of their units with dark swarm lings/hydra run through.
3.) Go for guardians(Kind of stupid because wraiths take them out so easily) and this strat works versus really crappy T players but by now the T should have wraiths...
Keep a GOOD ovie flow... never be choppy on your ovie/production rate... most Z have their downfall because of this easily avoided mistake. Keep building up your ground units to defend and CONSTANTLY be building hatcheries... Production really counts.
If your tactics above (1,2,3) seem to not work at that point then go for a mass... Muta/ling works very good and it is even better when you have 4-5 gaurds behind as well.
***Remember***
9/10 Ts are pushing the Z... use your head and counter the best way you can at that moment... Dropping hydras/lings/defiler is a VERY overlooked factor by a Terran. The same works for getting large groups of mutas and countering... The T HAS to save his base if that push is failing... Harrassing is the key.
If you harrass the T and his push is forced to move at bay(his base) then immediately build hatches everywhere... I normally get a lot in the middle and get an expo in a corner. Production is Key vrs a turtling T.
Once a T is killed with his push he will go battlecruiser/tank or keep is lame ass hold. Regardless once the push is done he should not win if you expo out... It is very hard to lose after this.
Hope I can be of assistence...

PGT progamers have APMs in the range of 200-400. sometimes higher than that. U dont see that on FPM.
Also: there are less cheese tactics on low... like storm drops.
and FPM is not balanced. The races overall might be more-or-less balanced, but during different periods in the game, the races have different advantages.

Fastest is not balanced at all. Why do you think there can't be a "best player" on fpm. The way positioning works, etc. Fpm is not a very balanced map at all.

lol, you say there can't be a "best player" on fmp, but it's come closer to finding a "best player" than non-money. even though this is possibly because of the fact that it is a small community compared to the nonmoney one at the moment. hahah XD
