I hate when sc does this

yes that happens to me too a lot, its cuz u minimize sc too much >.<

Yeah, it can happen from minimizing or having other images open in the background, or simply doing things too quickly....What sort of graphics card do you have?

every 15 games or so my computer will blue screen and freeze up.. forcing me to shut my comp down and restart.. and ill get a disc on my record..

anyone know how to fix this? someone told me buy more ram but i dont feel like buying a 60 dollar ram chip to play a game i paid 10 bucks for

derajk: I had that problem for like 2 years, when I finally reformatted the problem went away.

So my guess is device drivers, or a program running in the background.
If you don't mind you should post all the PROCESSES under the task manager (XP/2k).

Every other game i play, SC tries to freeze on me. After the gameroom screen goes away, just before yor in a game, you get a black screen, then your game. Often my game wont show up, and i can hear my comp struggling (literally) I fix this by opening my CD tray, which cause a blue screen to come up, shutting it, and pressing enter repeatedly. This works, and gets me back into my game. thats why i lways lag for like 25 secounds @ start of game, cause my comp is fuking up!

When u get IP Banned for flooding, YOu have to wait no longer then about 10 minutes sumtimes only a few minutes and You'll b unbanned. ANd as for your computer just turning off for no reason, Usually depends on ur computer, as it being to old. Happened to my old one but every game it turned off :(

ya sometimes my computer crashes in the middle of games. it only happens if im playing starcraft. it gives you a blue screen filled with text and you have to turn off the computer. i dunno why it happens, it seems pretty random.

Its not your computer that is actually freaking out,its probably your cd that is pretty much scratched or something on it,try cleaning it once it a while it helps alot

Comp crashing in middle of games is usually a hardware problem. Look into that.If your CD is scratched, I suggest running the game off your harddrive as an ISO.

Yeah, it's never happened to me. I've had SC crash on me after trying to save a game, or I've had the colour fragmentation problem a few times (fixed by minimizing and restoring SC window again), but apart from that, it runs smoothly. I'd say either look to your computer, or to your actual SC disk for scratches and stuff...

Yeah, but when I usually flood, I just go on AIM or post on SCD site until I can get back on, doesn't matter much now a days when you got scd :p
