View Full Version : TP/PTvPP - The Gauntlet
A strat I devised for 2v2 with Protoss and Terran if your close vs 2 Protoss. The protoss builds cannons/gateways in front of both of them, and the Terran can hold them off while the Protoss catches up. Both players build defence across the top of their bases. Here are 2-3 replays of it.
For the terran, it works best going mainly tanks, but going marines works too. You could always expand to the 3rd close base if the Protoss doesn't.

mass tanks pwnzors mass zealots. Its just when you retards who cant play terran siege all ur tanks. Think of it like this.
Tanks = Range Zealot = Melee
Tanks = 30 damage Zealot = 16 damage
Tanks = 2 Psi Zealot = 2 Psi
DONT SIEGE

you forgot hp differences. i think zelots are 60 shield and 80 hp and tanks have quite a bit less.

You also neglected the fact that tank have explosive damage type, even when not unsieged, and zealot are smalls. It mean that they will only suffer 50% of the damage they recive of the tank. You didnt mentionned the cool down rate : 22 for a zealot, 30 for a tank.
It's like saying "dragons own zealots", if you forgot 50% of the technical informations about them, they could theoricaly own on paper. But think about the time it take to get to your opponent to get 40 1-0-0 speed-zealots, and imagine how many gons you will have in this time (if you survive his rush), then make all of that fight... who will win ?
Now to talk about the topic, this "glaunet" strategy is a good punishment for players who wait more than 10 minutes to get out of their base :) I would like to mention an other offencive version of it : wall one of your enemy while you kill the other.
