View Full Version : I want a new videocard, but:
I want a new video card, but the one I have right now is integrated onto my mobo. Does anyone know if it's possible for me, that if I buy one, to install it and have it used? Integrated things annoy me, idk how upgrading/changing them works out

I am pretty sure that you can install a new one, even if you have one integrated into your motherboard. You just have to choose which one you want to be used.
No offense, but being pretty sure doesn't help much. I don't want to spend money and time on something that might not work out. I guess I'll have to google it...

Well, I didn't want to say "Sorry I have no clue, to bad for you"
since you have a dell, i would recommend you DONT do it. dell's mobo's have problems with adapting new video card's of any type and any maker (i dont know the exact reasons) and in order to use a new PCI, PCI 16x or AGP card in a new computer, you install it, goto the bios, turn off onboard video, install drivers and your done :o
