I posted this in general and then realized there is a new section about computers.. I'll just give the think to the thread, I was hoping the occasional computer nerd looks in here. Help me out. Thanks ~~~

When I try to open sc I get a video problem. I've done everything. Dled the new DirectX. Uninstalled reinstalled sc. Did what it wanted me too with the colors. This thread will be for more "intelligent" people. The error I recieve when im trying to open sc is.

The error encountered while trying to switch videa modes was:
DDERR_INVALIDMODE
vidinimo_PC.cpp line 160
SetDisplayMode

Thanks for help guys ~~

Thanks for help guys ~~ Try setting your resolution to 640 by 480, and switching to 256 colors before you run SC.

and also just make sure you have all of the most recent video card drivers.

ahh, but I was right :D

[Edit] Maybe ;)
...it says I need to switch my video settings to 256 color and 640 x 480. Which I have never had to do before but anyways so I tried that and still no luck...
