Starcraft Dream Rules
1. Accounts
I: Registration
a) You may not register more than one account.
b) Please be aware when registering your name that we allow name changes only every six months, keep this in mind if you want to include a clan tag in your name!
c) Your username must be appropriate as defined below (Post Content).
d) Your user name must contain only alpha-numerical characters: tildes, hyphens, underscores, parentheses, and square brackets.
e) Please be aware that all user registrations are moderated. As such it may take up to three days before you gain full access to this forum. If, after three days (36 hours) your account has not been validated, please contact an administrator. Do not contact any moderation staff before this time. If your new account was denied and you feel this was in error, respond to your registration email and the matter will be looked into. Some of the most common reasons for failed registration validation are below:
-Your IP is nearly identical to someone who is banned..
-You already have an account.
-Username doesn't follow the guidelines listed here.
-Fake user information.
II: Profiles
a) If you are participating in the league, it is vital that you keep your profile up to date!
b) Your profile must follow the follow the Post Content rules below.
c) No fake information. By default your email address is hidden to all but yourself and forum staff.
III: Avatar
a) Your avatar must be appropriate, as defined below (Post Content). In addition, avatars may not, without prior consent, contain pictures of any member of this site.
b) Avatars may not contain any nudity - partial or otherwise - that would not be appropriate for the work place, places of education and anyone under the age of 14.
c) Avatars are subject to all forum rules
IV: Signature
a) Your signature must be appropriate, as defined below (Post Content). In addition, avatars may not, without prior consent, contain pictures of any member of this site. b) Total image length must not exceed 515px.
c) Total image height must not exceed 515px.
d) Signatures may not contain any nudity - partial or otherwise - that would not be appropriate for the work place, places of education and anyone under the age of 14.
2. Forums - Post Content
I: Behaviour
a) All posts must be in English
b) Do not harass or personally attack any of member of this site. This includes, but is not limited to, attacks based on: religion, race, sex, gender or creed. Avatars and signatures are subject to all post content rules.
c) Racially explicit or derogatory content - including slang - will be deleted and the user warned and/or banned.
d) Staff harassment will no longer be tolerated. If you have a legitimate concern regarding a staff member or actions taken by a staff member, please contact one of the Administrators privately via the Private Messaging System or start a thread in 'Member Appeals'. Recurring staff abuse or harassment may result in a permanent ban.
II: Spamming
a) Do not spam! Spamming consists of, but is not limited to:
-Posting the same message mutliple times
-Posting "conversational" messages in threads (use private messages for this).
-Posting off topic posts in any forum and/or subforum. Including, but not limited to, clan threads, the photo gallery and the events forum.
-Cross posting the same thread or post in multiple forums
-Posting for the sake of increasing your post count
-Reviving old threads
-Posting self-promotional links
-Abusing the League's Flagging system
III: Prohibited Content
a) Below is considered prohibited content (prohibited content subject to staff discretion):
-Requesting of posting CD-Keys for ANY software
-Requesting or posting cracks for ANY software
-Requesting or posting any copyrighted material without prior consent and/or proper citation.
-Offering Help or support via PM to any of the previously copyrighted material
b) No graphic material! This includes but is not limited to:
-Full nudity of any kind
-SCD Staff withholds the right to remove, without notice, any photos, avatars or signatures that we consider inappropriate.
c) Do not provide any information related to hack and/or cheat programs.
d) Any links that are not adequately described and cited will be deleted and the user notified.
3. League Rules
I: Before Game
a) You must BOTH tell each other your usernames.
b) Check the site or bot for the user, specifically that:
-He's participating in the league
-He is who he says he is
-He's not banned
-He's not a known hacker
c) AdvLoader is not required, but highly recommend for those that can. It will allow us to handle claims more efficiently.

II: In Game
a) No hacking or cheating in any way. If you are caught hacking or using any program to cheat, including voice clients, you will be immediately banned from the league and forums for an extended period of time.
b) You must play on the official SCD map for any games to count. (Note that if any game is played on the current league map it will count) c) You must save your own replay.
d) Observers are allowed if all parties agree.
e) When you pause the game, we recommend you type /time and screenshot it for us to properly handle your case if someone was to unpause early and you have a complaint. When you unpause a game, now if the person who unpauses the game wasn't the one who paused it you should also type /time and screenshot it BEFORE you unpause it. If these both aren't done the case cannot be properly handled, but if you /time and screenshot when you pause and the person who unpauses does not the game will be removed most likely.
f) There are no race restrictions.
g) In the event of a disconnect the disconnecting player will receive a loss. It will be assumed that if the game is posted, the user claiming it as their win had a clear advantage at the time of disconnect or was not the disconnecting player. Screen Shots MUST be submitted of both your profile and your opponents profile to prove who disconnected. If there is any abuse of this rule that user will be considered to have committed league abuse.
h) Games under two minutes will not be reported. Players are allowed to leave game prior to two minutes only if before scout by either player. If a player disconnects before the 2 minute mark, please report it and continued abuse will result in a ban from the event. If a user is suspected of leaving because of race, please start a thread in league discussion.
III: After Game
a) You must save the replay.
b) You must report the game within 24 hours of playing it.
c) If you need to make a League Moderator aware of anything in regards to an SCD game, please utilize the Flagging system. Do not abuse the flagging system or use it to post. Doing so may result in a warning or even a ban from the Website and League.
IV: Penalties
a) Interfering Observers-
Observer(s) who interfered banned from current league play.

b) Free Winning / Losing-
Banned from current league play.

c) Sharing Accounts -
Banned from current league play.

d) Reporting Fake Games - Spoofing names or making names on other servers.
Banned from current league play.

e) Mind Controlling Observer Workers-
One warning with forfeit of game. Continued violation results in banning from current league play.

f) Terran Building on Space-
One warning with forfeit of game. Continued violation results in banning from current league play.

g) Reporting Disconnect-
One warning with forfeit of game. Continued violation results in banning from current league play.

h) Disconnecting / Dropping on purpose-
One warning with forfeit of game. Continued violation results in banning from current league play.
4. Cheater Reporting
A) If you suspect any user of league abuse, please assemble your 'case' and post an appropriate thread in 'Report a Cheater'. Do not slander or abuse this forum, doing so will result in disciplinary action. League staff will look into the claim. If, at any time, more proof is garnered, feel free to post it.
5. Channel
I: Behaviour
a) All the rules on this site apply in our channel. Punishments may be transferred between the site and the channel.
b) No non-staff controlled bots.
c) Do not abuse bot privileges.
Punishment Policy
SCD's Administrators and Moderators arbitrarily decide your punishment depending on the severity of your offense. While you are banned, all rules still apply. Breaking a rule while you are banned will add to your ban time and possibly lead to a permanent ban. Repeated rule violation - intentional or unintentional - will result in subsequently prolonged bans. Punishments for breaking rules are at the discretion of SCD's Staff.

If you believe you accidentally broke a rule, inform a moderator or administrator immediately.
