Moving Forward From SCD17!!!

Well, as some of you have noticed, the SCD 17 League has ended. A big thank you to everyone who participated to make another successful season possible.

It's no secret that activity has dropped down, especially with a lot of loyal SCD members moving on to the SC2 Beta, but we still had a good handful of people active in our league, which is great to see especially with the transition to SCII for SCD.


So, without further ado, your SCD 17 final standings!

1.) Pro]HaRDy- , with a 27-5 record totaling 2820 points

2.) T.T)ArDvI[xXx] , with a 28-11 record totaling 2645 points

3.) La.Messi , with a 17-0 record totaling 2390 points

Congratulations to HaRDy and the runner-ups. As promised, Hardy will receive a copy of SC II Wings of Liberty when it is released for free! Please provide the staff with your contact information so we can give you the prize. Ardvi and Messi will be given a month of premium each.

As usual, there will be a two week break between seasons. Since a week has already gone by, that means SCD 18 will start on June 4th!

Not only will SCD be releasing SCD 18, we plan on releasing a short SC II Beta League in the coming days, which the winner will win $50. Like the game itself, the Beta League will be a pre-cursor to the actual SC II League. More information about both SCD 18 and the Beta League will be provided soon.

The staff of the site is also being re-vamped into different sections to maximize productivity. It will be broken down into 5 different groups and we will be accepting applications for each of them. People may submit more than one position, however...we'd like to keep it to a minimum. The 5 different positions are:

Hacker Police

* In charge of catching hackers
* Must follow tasks given by HP Admin

Moderators

* In charge of moderating forums
* Must follow tasks given by SuperMods

News Team

* In charge of finding and reporting news to News Admin
* Must follow tasks given by News Admin

Marketing Team

* In charge of setting up and carrying out marketing plans with Marketing Admin
* Must follow tasks given by Marketing Admin

The two new positions being News Team and Marketing. So apply if you're interested for one of these teams and will be active, make sure to designate which position you are applying for. Admins/leaders of each group will be selected internally.

Lastly, as some of you may remember, the staff has been discussing adding a Hall of Fame to our forums for quite awhile now. So, we've finally got a setup that we like, and we will be implementing it at the end of this month along with the usual Member of the Month. Also, before I go on further, I'd like to say that the entire staff would like to thank TheRevolver for his proposal of the idea.

Anyways, for anyone who missed it the last time, here's what it is. We will start honoring some of the greatest threads in SCD history by putting them in the HOF for easy accessibility.

But we're gonna need your help. Every month, we will make a thread asking for nominations, and we want everyone to put their favorite threads ever in this nomination thread. After that, the staff will pick a certain amount from the nominations, and we will move forward with the public voting, in which there can be only one!

After the winner is chosen, we will move it into the Hall of Fame, and close it so that the thread will remain in all of its former glory.

You should mention which admin will be doing each of these tasks, cause it sounds like there's one admin assigned for each division.

Not from what I read and the Beta is coming back anyway. And the leaders of each will be discussed internally, as it was stated.

The BETA will come back but not for long though, the release is July 27th of the game(unless they push back again), and they announced the closure of the beta for may 30th, and said it should be closed for a while to finish up a few things

The admin positions are still being determined and aren't necessarily going to be held by "SCD Admins". They are more like Manager positions. It makes more sense when you see the entire breakdown but we aren't posting it all.
