League Help

Introduction & Registration

The staff and members of SCD would like to welcome you to StarCraftDream.com (SCD), the premier money map league and forum in the StarCraft® universe. With nearly 10,000 registered users, over 30,000 threads and 1,000,000 posts, SCD's forums has been uniting StarCraft enthusiasts from around the world since 2004. From the United States of America, Canada, South Korea, Australia and the European Union, SCD helps unite and give a definite identity to those StarCrafters who maybe aren't content with 'low money' StarCraft, but would like a place to compete, chat and commune with others who have a similar interest in StarCraft.

With almost 45,000 games played (and counting) in 12 seasons, SCD also boasts one of the most active and competitive money map leagues in the StarCraft scene today.

Not new to the StarCraft scene, SCD has also seen its rise of famous names - some familiar, some not. "PenguinPlug", the famous 'anti-hack' and 'hack detection' program was designed by [former] SCD Administrator SuperPenguin. As well, SCD staff draw their expertise and experience from various other StarCraft forums and leagues, including iCCup, PGT and FGT.

We graciously invite you to sign up for our forums and register in our league. We expect that SCD's league will reinvigorate your interest in competitive StarCraft. We further expect that SCD's forums will provide enough intellectual stimulation to keep even the most educated academic engaged.

Reporting Games

To participate in any of our leagues you must first register on our forums and familiarize yourself with the rules of the league you are registering for. Remember, there may be different rules depending on the league you're registering in! You can register by clicking the link above or by going to the site index and clicking the 'Register to Compete' text at the top of the page.

Using '1v1 Season 'X' as an example, you will be brought to a page asking you to participate in this league. This page will also show you the top 10 for that league, as well as give you the option to edit your profile and give you access to your league signature (on the right). Click 'Participate in this League'.

By clicking the participate button you will then be brought to a page showing you the rules for that league* (remember, rules are different as per the league you're registering in). It is at this time you will also be asked to submit your SC Username. Your SC Username is extremely important as it's an integral part of the league updating system, please make sure it is accurate! (You can update it in your profile options if need be).

After registering for the forums and league you wish to play in you're ready to start playing. Before you start playing it's recommended that you make sure your opponent is also registered in the league. You can do this by using the SCD bot (What are the instructions for this?) or by searching a player on the appropriate league homepage. After you've played a game it's time to report (please pay attention to the league rules, you may have a set period of time in which you need to report before the game is declared void). Once again, on the left column there is a link 'Report Game'. Click this link and it will bring you to a page asking for your opponent and the replay file. Choose the appropriate opponent, upload the correct file and the system will update automatically.

Congratulations, you're now registered in one of the many leagues SCD has to offer!

* Those who have been hacker flagged or are banned are not permitted to participate in any leagues. Any abuse to get around this will result in an extended ban.

Reporting Abuse

Abuse is taken extremely serious by the staff of SCD. To report a game for abuse, simply find that game in the game list (you can look by player history) and click the 'Flag game for staff' text, which will then let you comment on the game, letting us know what abuse you believe has taken place. Please be aware that abuse of this feature - such as false reporting or harassment - will result in severe punishment.

All comments do not have to flag a game, it can be used for regular game discussion. However, in order to flag a game, you must leave a comment.

If you you would like to report abuse not specific to a certain game (for example, a player, or a series of games), then use the contact link in the header to report it to the league moderation team.
